The Committee is dedicated to collecting, preserving and sharing the rich history of the Borough. We meet often to organize historical materials in the Borough Office. We also work with Northland Library and “Historic Pittsburgh” to scan our photos into a permanent digital archive. The Heritage Committee is always looking for photos and information about the history of our community. Please let us know if you have anything to share, or if you would like to work with us. For more information contact June McCartney. (724-816-3042)
The most recent project of the Heritage Committee is the installation of the time capsule that is located in the Council Chambers. It is to be opened in 2065 and contains special and historical documents collected by the Heritage Committee. The time capsule was hand crafted by resident Jean Oppedal.
